My Encouragement Today

1Sa 30:6 (KJB)  And David was greatly distressed; for the people spake of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters: but David encouraged himself in the LORD his God.

I am just sitting here, reflecting on the goodness, longsuffering, grace, mercy and blessings of the Lord, and just want to give the Lord all the praise, honour and glory for everything (good and bad) that take place my and my family’s life. All things come from him.

The ministry is the hardest thing that I have ever done. There has been times that I thought to myself that there is no way that I can do this, but each time, and through each trial, the Lord has brought us through them from start to finish, and not one time forsook us.

Heb 13:5 (KJB)
(5)  Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

If you are struggling with something in your life, I just want to encourage you to encourage yourself in the Lord, just as David did, and always remember that God allows trials and tribulations in your life to help you not to hurt you. He wants to have a deeper relationship with us, and trials will develop that. Please do not ever give up! Trust the Lord. He is so good and faithful.

Psa 23:6 (KJB)
(6)  Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.

Psa 107:21 (KJB)
(21)  Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!
